Kendor Jones Awarded the Clyde O. Martz Teaching Award

Congratulations to Welborn Shareholder, Ken Jones who was selected as a 2016 Distinguished Recipient of the Clyde O. Martz Teaching Award by the Trustees of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation at their Annual Institute.

The Clyde O. Martz Teaching Award was established in 1993, named in honor of the eighth president of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, an esteemed teacher of natural resources law whose casebook pioneered the teaching of the law of natural resources development and who made many other contributions to the growth and stature of the Foundation, including the editing of the first edition of the American Law of Mining. This award recognizes excellence in teaching natural resources law as the primary criterion, with consideration given to the fostering of a broad understanding of the law, mentoring of students, and innovative style, together with other relevant teaching qualities.
