Overview
Patrick’s practice focuses on legal issues common in Colorado, Wyoming and North Dakota. Since 2009 Patrick has practiced in Welborn’s Casper, Wyoming office.
Patrick’s practice involves natural resources and energy, trusts and estates, dispute resolution and transactional issues. In the natural resources and energy area, Patrick’s work includes mineral and surface title examination of federal, state and fee lands; permitting related to wind and solar projects; condemnation for pipelines and power lines; and representation of state agencies regarding various energy issues. With regard to trusts and estates, Patrick’s work includes drafting estate plans; probating estates; and providing advice on related issues. Patrick’s practice also includes advising corporate and government clients on a wide range of transactional issues, and preparing necessary contracts and agreements.

- Authored title opinions covering fee, state, and federal lands in Colorado, Wyoming, and North Dakota
- Authored leasehold acquisition title opinions for a purchase of oil and gas assets in Colorado and Utah
- Represented heirs with ancillary probate matters concerning mineral interests located in Wyoming
- Advised property owner regarding boundary dispute with neighboring property owners
- Prepared estate planning documents including wills, trusts, and related estate planning documents
- Represented corporate clients and government associations in both Wyoming State and Federal Courts.
- Admitted to practice before all district courts in Wyoming and the Wyoming Supreme Court
