Today’s official “Changing of the Sign” ceremony celebrates Irish heritage by temporarily renaming Blake Street to “Tooley Street” for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This long-standing annual tradition honors the late Dale Tooley, Denver’s former District Attorney (1973–1982) who served as the parade’s Grand Marshal four decades ago. He is the father of three local attorneys: Brian, Keith, and Patrick Tooley.
