Overview

Matt represents clients in environmental, natural resource, land use, utility, and water disputes. He is a natural litigator with experience appearing in administrative tribunals and the courtroom, as well as handling all aspects of discovery and motions practice. Matt also advocates for clients in the regulatory and legislative spaces, including assisting with rulemaking, analysis, and bill drafting.

Matt previously focused on litigation at the Colorado Public Utilities Commission and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and environmental enforcement and compliance at the state and federal levels. Before joining the firm Matt practiced at the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office and Dietze & Davis, PC in Boulder, CO.

  • Represented renewable energy developers and energy efficiency trade organizations in resource planning and demand management cases at the Colorado PUC.
  • Represented mutual ditch companies and special districts in a variety of water matters.
  • Represented big-box fitness center against claims for breach of contract and personal injury.
  • Advocated for sensible regulation of psilocybin administration on behalf of psychiatrists, therapists, and coaches.
